The Importance of Keeping Humor… especially during hard times.
One of the best ways to keep a sense of humor during difficult times is to laugh. And it’s not just a good idea, it’s a necessity.
Laughter is beneficial for your health, and can help you get through tough times. It can even make you more productive.
Now remember, you don’t have to be in a comedy club to laugh. You can always find things that are funny in your life and the world around you – even if they’re not what you would consider “traditional” sources of humor.
One of the funniest books I’ve ever read is Davis Sedaris’s “Me Talk Pretty One Day (https://www.amazon.com/Me-Talk-Pretty-One-Day-ebook/dp/B000SEJHRA) “. Since I’m an author, I’m not a fan of promoting other writers’ work, but that just shows how strongly I feel about helping the world (and you) see how important humor is. Of course, humor – like reading – is subjective… which means what I think is funny might not be as funny to you. Just sayin’ in case you read his book and don’t smile. 🙂
Humor is also a very powerful tool that can be used to break the ice, reduce stress, and build relationships. It can also be used to help people through difficult times – so you’re not only helping yourself, you can help others, too!
